Aimee MaurerLegal/Judicial Experience: Clerk—Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III; Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office; Local Attorney in private practice. I’ve seen first-hand the potential in District Court for greater efficiency.

Other Professional Experience: Along with raising three children, I am Owner/Principal at Maurer Law and practice alongside my husband, Joshua Maurer.

Education: Undergraduate Degree—Gonzaga University; Juris Doctorate—Gonzaga School of Law. Go Zags!

Community Service: President—Washington Women Lawyers Spokane; Board—Downtown Kiwanis; Board—First Night Spokane; Trustee—Washington Civil Defense Trial Lawyers. I’ve worked to help make Spokane a better place and I know many of you care as deeply as I do about our community.

Statement: As a former prosecutor and local attorney, I know what it takes to establish stronger courts and safer communities. Recently, the Spokane Criminal Justice Commission detailed many ways District Court needs to improve, such as coordinating information systems and minimizing unnecessary hearings. I’m committed to greater accountability, improved efficiency, and increased community involvement. We need to implement more useful technologies and work to eliminate wasteful spending. Endorsements include Spokane Superior Court Judges Kathleen O’Connor and Anette Plese, Former Washington State Court of Appeals Judge Kenneth Kato, and many other community leaders. I would be honored to have your vote.
