He serves Tacoma as a pro tem Judge, and he’s handled thousands of cases as a defense attorney or prosecutor. That’s why he’s been endorsed by prosecutors, defense attorneys, and has the unanimous endorsement of every Pierce County Superior Court Judge.

He’s also earned the endorsements of Labor; State Supreme Court Justices Owens, Stephens, and Johnson; State Representative Fey; County Councilmembers Campbell and Young; and City Councilmembers Ushka, Bushnell, Hines, McCarthy, and Rumbaugh. Additionally, Steve received the highest rating “Exceptionally Well Qualified” from the Pierce County Minority Bar Association, Washington Women Lawyers, and the TPCBA.

Steve has over 20 years of experience in therapeutic courts. He believes that offenders must be held accountable, and he knows that Tacoma needs Mental Health, Veterans, and Drug Courts to cut down on repeat low-level offenders, provide necessary services, and ensure public safety.
