Legal/Judicial Experience: Current Court Commissioner for Bremerton Municipal Court 9 years; Judge Pro Tem 15 years, sits currently for Kitsap County District Court, Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, and Poulsbo Municipal Courts. Trial Lawyer 18 years. Other Professional Experience: U.S. Coast Guard, Joined 1996, District 13/Seattle Legal Office, Coast Guard Achievement Medal, Enlisted Person of Quarter.

Education: South Kitsap High School, Olympic College, Excelsior College BA, Business, Gonzaga University Law (2004) Graduated Cum Laude.

Community Service: North Kitsap Poulsbo Rotary, Morrow Manor Domestic Violence Shelter, Poulsbo Chamber, “OlyCap” Board, Kitsap Children’s Musical Theater, North Kitsap High School Band, North Kitsap Soccer Club Coach, Kitsap Dispute Resolution Center, local/state bar associations.

Statement: With so many institutions distrusted, I have one passion: to serve the people of Kitsap County with a trusted commitment to justice. I have served as Judge Pro Tem for 15 years and have established a reputation for giving every person before me their day in court that’s fair, respectful, impartial and follows established law.

I’m from here, raised in Port Orchard in a diverse family of different cultures – making inclusive life and equality part of my life. I’ve presided over thousands of cases from Bainbridge, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard, and I’ve litigated every type of case that could arise in District Court. I’m a former felony prosecutor, conflict public defender and experienced trial lawyer in private practice handling civil litigation. I’ve argued cases at every level from Municipal Court all the way to the State Supreme Court. I’ve attended Washington Judicial College, and also annual judicial training for nine years.

Truly understanding what it takes to justly and equitably hear a litigant’s case requires experience, time on the job, constant training and love of the community you serve. I have that experience and offer my story and lifelong reputation for delivering justice-and ask for your vote.
