Legal Experience: Current Kitsap County District Court Judge, elected in 2014. Former Kitsap County Chief Deputy Prosecutor, District/ Municipal Court Division; deputy prosecutor (1997-2014) focusing on crimes against children, sexual assault and domestic violence cases. Statement: I am so grateful to have been elected to this position in 2014 and feel fortunate to be able to serve the people of Kitsap County. In every case I hear, I strive to dispense justice by considering all parties’ rights, by listening carefully to every litigant and by presiding over every case fairly and impartially.

As a 17-year prosecutor, I was a voice for our community’s most vulnerable, and tried every type of case from parking infractions to aggravated first degree murder. As a Judge, I have used this substantial legal experience to preside over every type of proceeding in District Court. Since taking the bench seven years ago, I helped to create and now preside over the first mental health court in the county. The Behavioral Health Court has now helped dozens of people afflicted with mental health issues by identifying crucial resources, providing much needed structure and ordering appropriate treatment and education to correct behavior and reduce recidivism.

I am honored to serve our community and will continue to respect the rights of all parties, while fairly and impartially applying the law.

I live in Port Orchard with my husband, our two sons and two dogs.
