Statement: Judge Jeanette Lineberry was elected in 2014 and
quickly gained a reputation for her firm but fair decisions, thoughtful
advocacy for justice, diligence and hard work. The balanced and diverse
legal experience she brought to the bench has served our community well
in all aspects of the District Court’s work, including criminal, civil
and small claims cases.
Judge Lineberry is known for treating everyone who comes before her,
whether attorneys or litigants, with dignity and respect. She has earned
both awards and praise, including from litigants she had ruled against.
She has worked with colleagues and attorneys in the community to improve
the Pierce County District Court, becoming a leading advocate for
improving efficiency and the quality of judicial services provided to
the public.
Judge Lineberry and her husband Doug (a lieutenant colonel in the
Washington Army National Guard) live in Gig Harbor with their two
daughters, Anna and Emily. They have lived in Pierce County for 22 years
and are dedicated to serving our community and country.
