Rescue. Past President of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorneys’ Association. Past President of the Public Safety Employees Insurance, Inc., which provides disability insurance to law enforcement officers.

Statement: John Sheeran’s lifetime of public service includes 22 years as a Deputy Prosecutor, where he is trusted to handle some of the most serious offenses in our community. His balanced experience includes handling cases in front of the Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court. As the former Felony Division Chief and now as Assistant Chief Criminal Deputy, Sheeran is uniquely qualified to serve as Judge because of his depth of experience and reputation for integrity.

John works for our community. He’s championed diversionary programs, helping create Pierce County’s Mental Health Court for low risk offenders. This work has ensured that those better served with treatment receive the help they need to become productive members of society. He currently oversees the Prosecutor’s Office’s Alternative Courts Team, providing everyone with equal access to justice.

John Sheeran has the temperament and values that we expect from our judges; he’s honest, just, and fair. A former small business owner, he understands the importance of responsible governance. His bipartisan endorsements include fellow prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, and judges Jeanette Lineberry, Kevin McCann, Grant Blinn, Steve Rosen, and Patrick Oishi, among many others.
