Statement: Judge Judy Rae Jasprica reflects the values of our
community every day in the courtroom. Judy Jasprica is a judge we can
count on to be honest, balanced and fair. When a coordinated response
was needed to address the serious problem of domestic violence, Judge
Jasprica was instrumental in the creation of the Domestic Violence
Court—the first of its kind in Pierce County. Active in numerous
statewide judicial organizations, Judge Jasprica is a recognized expert
in the area of domestic violence law. Judge Jasprica is passionate about
educating Judges in the State of Washington, and is currently the Chair
of the statewide, Court Education Committee. Judy Jasprica is a
life-long member of our community. Born and raised in Tacoma, Judy
graduated from Mount Tahoma High School, the University of Puget Sound
and the University of Puget Sound School of Law.
For over 20 years, Judge Jasprica has promoted respect for the law,
society and individual rights. As the current Presiding Judge, Judy is
dedicated to ensuring that all citizens have equal access to the Court.
