Tim Lewis is the better qualified candidate for
District Court. Tim is a certified Judge Pro
Tempore with eight years judicial experience. He
is also a senior deputy prosecutor, leading the
Felony Division, handling some of the most
serious cases in the county.

Community Service: Habitat for Humanity; Sexual Assault Center of Pierce County supporter, Youth Soccer Coach, Volunteer Legal Services, Veterans Law Clinic, Lawyers Helping Hungry Children, Tacoma Community College Foundation, Tacoma-Pierce County Minority Bar Association Law Day volunteer. Statement: Tim Lewis has dedicated his entire career to upholding the law and keeping our community safe. He’s a well-respected member of our legal community known for his honesty, civility and collegial demeanor. He has the legal knowledge, temperament and work ethic we need on the District Court. Tim is active in the local bar association, working to promote a fair- er criminal justice system and promote well qualified judges. He views the law as public service and volunteers his time to provide legal aid to veterans, and help alleviate hunger in our community. Years of pro tem judicial experience have prepared Tim to serve on the District Court. He’s practiced at treating every party fairly, understands how to preside over complex cases and has proven his respect for the law. Tim and his wife Tanya are longtime residents of Pierce County, their 11 year old son Tegan attends elementary school in the Peninsula School District. Tanya works in the Tacoma General NICU. Tim coaches Tegan’s soccer team, and the family enjoys hiking Mt Rainier and the Olympic National Parks. |
