Statement: Judge Kevin McCann was appointed to the District Court
in a unanimous and bi-partisan vote of the Pierce County Council. Since
becoming our newest judge, Kevin has earned a reputation for fairness
and hard work. Exactly the qualities we need on the bench. This
election, please vote to keep Judge Kevin McCann.
Judge McCann brings substantial experience to the bench. 17 years as
Deputy Prosecutor. 12 years of judicial and pro tem experience. Nearly
20 years as a practicing attorney. As a District Court Judge, he’s
already handled hundreds of cases. As a prosecutor he was entrusted with
some of the county’s most complex and important trials.
This is why he’s been endorsed by his District Court colleagues, County
Prosecutor Mark Lindquist and every member of the County Council,
including leading Republicans and Democrats. He is also supported by
attorneys from every area of practice and received favorable evaluations
from in the County Bar Association’s poll.
Kevin and his wife Lynda have been married 22 years. They have three
daughters, Kaitlyn (21), Kourtney (19) and Wendy (12), and live in
Northeast Tacoma. The family enjoys boating, hiking and crabbing. The
McCanns attend Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church.
