Legal/Judicial Experience: Attorney/Partner at Gordon Thomas Honeywell, Tacoma (1996 - 2005); Williams, Kastner & Gibbs, Tacoma (2005 - 2015); and Fain Anderson, Tacoma, (2015 – present).

Other Professional Experience: Computer Consultant, 1990-1993.

Education: Juris Doctorate, Baylor University School of Law, 1996, Cum Laude; Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, California State University, Northridge, 1987, Cum Laude.

Community Service: Charity auctioneer for many causes including the March of Dimes, the Chinese Reconciliation Project and the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association Volunteer Legal Services Program; actively involved in youth ministry; has taught parenting classes for 15 years; former member, Washington State Bar Court Rules Committee.

Statement: Good judges make decisions based on what the law is, rather than personal opinions about what they think the law should be. This results in equitable treatment for all. Tim remembers being in front of a judge who said, “Personally, I want to rule one way, but I think the law compels me to rule the other way.” Tim admired the judge’s integrity in ruling based on the law even when the judge personally disagreed with the outcome. That’s the kind of judge Tim will be.

Tim has handled a variety of litigation for plaintiffs and defendants in areas such as personal injury, medical malpractice, business disputes, environmental, class actions and appeals.

Tim is a devoted husband and father of six children, and has lived in Puyallup since 1998. He is endorsed by attorneys, business owners and community leaders. He knows that it's difficult to decide who to vote for in a judicial election. The rules of judicial ethics prohibit judicial candidates from telling you how they would rule on a specific issue, which is appropriate.
