Washington Supreme Court

Supreme Court justices are elected to six-year terms by voters throughout the entire state. There are nine Supreme Court justices, and Washington residents will vote for four in 2014.


Position 1: Mary Yu is the incumbent. She is running for re-election without opposition.


Position 3: Mary Fairhurst is the incumbent. She is running for re-election without opposition.


Position 4: Charles W. Johnson is the incumbent. He is being challenged by Eddie Yoon.


Position 7: Debra L. Stephens is the incumbent. She is being challenged by John (Zamboni) Scannell.


 

Court of Appeals

Division Three, District Three

(Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, Klickitat, and Yakima Counties)

District Three elects two judges; both positions will be on the 2014 ballot.

Judge Stephen Brown is the Position 1 incumbent. He is running for re-election without opposition.

Judge Rob Lawrence-Berry was appointed to Position 2 by the Governor. He is running to complete the final four years of his term. His position will be up for election again in 2018.


 

Superior Court

Superior Court judges are elected to four-year terms; they were elected in 2012, and their terms extend through the end of 2016.


 

District Court

District Court judges are elected to four-year terms, and all District Court positions are up for election in 2014. Kittitas County is divided into a Lower District and an Upper District.

There are no contested District Court elections in the county this year. The following incumbent candidates have filed for re-election:
 

Lower District: Jim Hurson
