Statement: For most of the 27 years I have worked as an attorney, I have served as a Judge Pro Tem for Pierce County District Court and three of the county’s municipal courts. It is work I enjoy and believe I do well. My fellow attorneys agree because the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association has repeatedly rated me as Exceptionally Well Qualified, their highest rating.

I believe I share the values of most of you when I sit as judge. Decisions must be fair and compassionate while at the same time protecting the community, victims of crime and the rights of the accused. Criminal justice is only one part of District Court. My experience as an Arbitrator, Mediator and Judge Pro Tem demonstrates my passion for fairness in civil disputes. Applying fairness in resolving disagreements is central in making Pierce County a good place to live. My experience makes me the most qualified candidate.

Pierce County has been home for most of my life. I went to school, met my wife and raised our two children here. We are a part of this community. No one will work harder for the citizens of Pierce County.

I ask for your vote.
