Ruth EsparzaLegal/Judicial Experience: Staff Attorney, Northwest Justice Project (2005-present). Litigates civil cases in Chelan County Superior Court and Federal District Court in the areas of Family, Housing, Education, and Employment Law.

Other Professional Experience: Trained mediator; Title 26 Guardian ad Litem; Chelan/Douglas Counties Volunteer Attorney Services Board Member; Washington State Bar Association Leadership Institute Graduate; Speaker to law enforcement, attorney, and other groups.

Education: Westside High School; Wenatchee Valley College; Gonzaga University, B.S. Political Science; Gonzaga University School of Law, J.D.

Community Service: Chelan/Douglas Counties United Way Board Member, Wenatchee Community Center Board Member, Rotary Club Member, Wenatchee High School Mentorship Program Volunteer, Panther Booster Club.

Statement: My top priority is our community's safety. I am committed to safeguarding the individual rights of Chelan County citizens. I will provide fairness, impartiality, efficiency, treating all who come before me with dignity and respect. Currently, I zealously represent clients by applying my legal knowledge, careful consideration of the facts, and analytical skills in the areas of family law, housing law and complex civil litigation. My practice includes representing marginalized and underprivileged populations such as low-income women, children, seniors, and veterans. In addition, I have dedicated countless volunteer hours and pro bono legal work to ensure access to justice for all.

My community service record demonstrates that I am invested in the community. My favorite civic activity is mentoring underserved and underprivileged children.

I have devoted my life to family and community. As a child, I experienced firsthand the power a loving community can have on those pursuing the American dream. Now I want to give back to my community by serving the public as Superior Court judge. My background and experience have provided me with the real world knowledge and common sense we need in our Superior Court.
