Submitting Information

The core goal of VotingforJudges is to provide information to voters about candidates for judicial office.

VotingforJudges will obtain candidate biographical information and candidate statements from the Secretary of State's official Voters' Pamphlet or local Voters' Pamphlets when they are published.

Candidates who would like to have their biographical information and statements available at VotingforJudges before the Voters' Pamphlets are published are invited to submit that same information directly to us. We will accept submissions under the same guidelines that have been specified by the Secretary of State, so you need only prepare your information once.

What to Include

The basic format of the information you may provide is as follows:

  1. A statement of the candidate to the voters, not to exceed 200 words.
  2. A biography with the following headings may also be provided; it cannot exceed a total of 100 words (not counting the words of the headings themselves):
    ● Legal/Judicial Experience
    ● Other Professional Experience
    ● Education
    ● Community Service
  3. A photo of the candidate.

For further information and content guidelines, see the Guidelines for Candidates prepared by the Secretary of State.

You may also optionally provide links to any of the following: your campaign website, campaign email address, campaign phone number, Facebook page, and Twitter name, and we will include those.

Where to Send

Email the above materials to [email protected]. If you have questions, those can be sent to the same address.
