Dave Petersen

Benton County District Court

Position Four

This race will appear on the November ballot.

Dave Petersen

Statement: The Better Candidate. My legal experience far exceeds my opponent’s. I have seen all sides of the Bench; Judge, Prosecution, Defense. I have been a Judge Pro Tem longer than my opponent has been an attorney. I will uphold the Constitution and state laws, and not legislate from the Bench. District Court is the “people’s court”.

Better for our Community. Except for military service and college, I have lived in Benton County my entire life. Safe communities are the responsibility of our local government and the buck stops at the courthouse. Your trust and confidence in our court system is very important to me. Dignity and accountability are fundamental beliefs I employ on the Bench. I will protect and maintain your individual rights.

Daily, I uphold my conservative values and commitment to my faith. Married almost eighteen years, I take great joy in the responsibility of raising our three young daughters. You can’t be a committed leader in the community if you don’t demonstrate commitment in your personal life.

I am proudly endorsed by Attorney General Rob McKenna, Representatives Brad Klippert and Larry Haler, and many local Republican and Democrat leaders. I’m also endorsed by Mainstream Republicans of Washington.
