Washington Court of Appeals

Division III, District One

This contest will be decided in the Primary.

Laurel Siddoway

Legal/Judicial Experience: State Court of Appeals Judge, Appointed 2010; Principal, Randall | Danskin; Senior Litigation Attorney, Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc.; Arbitrator, Spokane County Superior Court; Mediation Panel Appointee, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Washington

Other Professional Experience: Attorney; Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy, Gonzaga University College of Law.

Education: LL.M. (Master of Laws), New York University, 1985; J.D., University of Utah, 1979; B.S., University of Utah, 1975.

Community Service: Founding member and officer, Rockwood Neighborhood Association; member and pro bono representative of Friends of the Falls in preventing construction of Lincoln Street bridge over the Spokane River falls and gorge; former board member, Civic League

Statement: Independent and objective, experienced and fair, Judge Laurel Siddoway has earned our vote for Court of Appeals. Judge Siddoway is endorsed and recommended by her peers, law enforcement and leaders throughout Eastern Washington for her grasp of complex legal issues and commitment to equal treatment and respect for our constitution.

Before joining the bench, Laurel Siddoway practiced law for over two decades, representing small businesses, individuals and families - taking on powerful institutions on behalf of those who deserve a voice. Her balance and independence earned her the support of three City of Spokane administrations, who relied on her to extricate taxpayers from costly and controversial support for a downtown garage project. A wife and mother of three sons - all graduates of Spokane Schools - Siddoway understands that our courts need judges with an understanding of the experiences of real people and a commitment to make sure everyone receives equal treatment and respect.

Judge Siddoway is supported by Republicans and Democrats, community leaders, judges, prosecutors and law enforcement for her commitment to fairness and respect for the law - and those the law serves to protect.

Elect Judge Laurel Siddoway. A common sense judge for all of Eastern Washington.
