Legal/Judicial Experience: For eight years I have diligently served as Superior Court Judge. I am Presiding Judge with administrative duties, and past Presiding Juvenile Judge. I was a prosecutor for eleven of my fifteen years as an attorney.

Other Professional Experience: National and State Judicial Colleges, National Bureau of Justice Family Treatment Training, Washington Association of Drug Courts President, Vice President, and current Treasurer.

Education: W.S.U. (BA, 1981); Willamette (JD, 1985) American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence.

Community Service: Reasonable Efforts Symposium Chair, local National Adoption Day Chair, Presenter for Lower Columbia Leadership Academy and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Mock Trial and Ethnic Support Council volunteer.

Statement: I am committed to maintaining the integrity of the judiciary, to improving access to the courts and to implementing case management and other court administration "best practices". Over eight years as Superior Court Judge I demonstrated my dedication to fairness and justice, and a commitment to our community's families.

I worked for increased legal representation for parents and children, improved courthouse security and greater access to treatment and other services. I earned an "Excellence in Service Award" for my work with Drug Courts, and a Cowlitz County Chapter, American Association of University Women's Award "Celebrating Women: Leadership , Service and Inspiration".

I am a member of the Superior Court Judges Association (SCJA) and National Association of Women Judges. I serve as the SCJA representative to the Washington Interstate Compact for Juveniles.

I am endorsed by Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Trial Judges from each county in the judicial district. Please go to www.judgejohanson.com for details.
