State Supreme CourtThursday, October 14, 2010 — Justice Richard Sanders’ fierce independence is reflected in his endorsements from both business and union members, Democratic and Republican state senators, judges and civil libertarians. He leans to the Libertarian side and serves as a balancing, unpredictable watchdog on the state’s high court. Sanders took 45.3 percent of the votes in the three-candidate primary, almost 9 percentage points higher than general-election challenger Charlie Wiggins. Sanders has served well — if unconventionally — for 15 years on the state Supreme Court, and has earned a continued presence there. Vote for Sanders on the state Supreme Court. |
