Tim Note

Spokane County District Court

Position Six

Timothy Note

ELECTED EXPERIENCE: Timothy Note is an experienced attorney, having handled hundreds of cases in Spokane County ranging from civil infractions to homicides. Mr. Note is a respected District Court practitioner and has built strong working relationships with court staff, probation, prosecution, and other attorneys.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Mr. Note owns a small business and had several years of management experience prior to entering law. He has the work ethic and the interpersonal skills critical to presiding over a courtroom.

EDUCATION: B.S. Political Science, Oregon State University; J.D. Gonzaga School of Law

COMMUNITY SERVICE: 2004 Pro Bono Public Service Commendation; Member: Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

Statement: As judge, I will earn my salary by working diligently to serve the citizens of Spokane County while administering an efficient court where all parties are treated fairly and with dignity. I will follow the law without bias ensuring that the State and the defendant receive a fair proceeding. Judges protect our community by deciding whose actions mandate incarceration versus those who would benefit from rehabilitation. I support the Sherriff's vision of developing community based programs that address addiction issues and teach offenders how to make better choices, thus breaking the cycle of crime. Prevention is cheaper than warehousing.
