Due to a vacancy on the bench caused by retirement, on July 28 the Governor appointed Brian Altman to fill the vacancy. The seat will immediately be up for election: There will be a special 3-day filing period August 23-25, and all candidates who file will appear on the November ballot. The candidate with the most votes in that election will win the position. There will not be a runoff election. This position will be on the ballot again in 2012. |
