Ed Wolfe

Bremerton Municipal Court

Ed WolfeWhat background and experience do you bring to this office?

I have been a judge pro tem in Bremerton Municipal and Kitsap County courts for the last six years, presiding over both civil and criminal matters. As a successful trial lawyer with years of experience, I can hit the ground running as Bremerton’s Municipal Court Judge. I am a past president of the Kitsap Bar Association. My unique depth of legal, judicial and government experience will enable me to bring a fresh perspective to court operations, with the goal of reducing costs and increasing efficiencies of the court, thereby saving taxpayer money. I have served my Country in Washington DC as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State with the rank of Ambassador and also served in the US Army.

What is your philosophy about the role of a Municipal Court Judge?

The role of a Municipal Court Judge is to administer justice fairly with integrity, impartiality and independence to all who come before the court. In addition, all elected officials, including judges, should give back to their community by way of volunteering. As judge, it will be my goal to continue my public service commitment. I have done this previously as a past president of the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce and Puget Sound Naval Bases Association, Board member of the Admiral Theater and co-founder of the Bremerton Boys & Girls Club. I am proud of the cross section of community support I have for this non partisan judge position. My support is reflected in the many endorsements from community leaders and citizens, regardless of party affiliation, and includes Congressman Norm Dicks, a state senator, labor union, county commissioners, mayors, judges and state representatives.
