David Larson

Federal Way Municipal Court

Position Two

David Larson

Candidate Statement: Judge Dave Larson was appointed to Federal Way’s Municipal Court and quickly became a widely respected judge statewide because of his dedication and respect for the law. Judge Larson has earned the highest possible rating by the King County Bar Association: Exceptionally Well Qualified.

Judge Larson has been a consistent and steady voice of reason during the difficult times faced in the Federal Way Municipal Court. He is the only candidate to propose concrete solutions for the problems that have plagued Federal Way’s court for years. Judge Larson’s proposed solutions include more accountability through citizen oversight, improved communication, trust, and increased transparency. Judge Larson’s community involvement and leadership are unparalleled and unequaled. Please vote to retain Judge Dave Larson on the Federal Way Municipal Court, position 2.

Judge Larson is endorsed by Congressman Adam Smith, Representatives Mark Miloscia and Skip Priest, Councilman Pete von Reichbauer, Federal Way Mayor Jack Dovey, Councilmembers Jim Ferrell and Linda Kochmar, Tom Murphy, Federal Way School Board members Suzanne Smith, Tony Moore, Amy Bronson-Doherty, Ed Barney, and dozens of judges from throughout the state. He is also the recommended candidate in this race by the King County Chapter of the National Women’s Political Caucus.

Bio: Judge Larson brings 42 years of living in Federal Way and credibility as a community leader to the Federal Way Bench. When the new city of Federal Way formed its Ethics Board, they turned to Dave Larson. When Federal Way needed to improve its school board, they turned to Dave Larson. When Federal Way needed vision and courage for its court, they turned to Dave Larson to bring them through difficult times. His leadership, calm reason, and vision are the solutions Federal Way’s court needs. Judge Larson is exactly the type of judge and leader we need on the Bench.
