CURRENT OCCUPATION/EMPLOYER: Walla Walla County Superior Court Commissioner, College Place Municipal Court Judge, private attorney.

LEGAL/JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE: Superior Court Commissioner since 2005 selected by current Superior Court Judges, five years Municipal Court Judge, seventeen years active District Court Judge Pro Tem. Twenty two years private attorney with close to 100 jury trials.

SIGNIFICANT CAREER EXPERIENCE: Argued before Washington State Appellate and Supreme Court, Past President Lillie Rice Center, Blue Mountain Action Council, and Walla Walla County Bar Association.

EDUCATION: Idaho State University BA Academic Honors, University of Idaho Law Degree, Washington State Judicial College. FAMILY: Married to Deborah twenty eight years. Three children: Wendi, Cara, Weston.

CANDIDATE STATEMENT: As a Superior Court Commissioner, I have presided over family, criminal, paternity and juvenile court dockets gaining invaluable superior court judicial experience. While serving as a Municipal Court Judge and an active District Court Judge Pro Tem, my judicial experience includes dozens of jury trials, bench trials, evidentiary rulings, and sentencing repeat offenders to substantial jail terms. I was the first judge in Walla Walla County to implement initial no bail confinement in all domestic violence arrests until the Defendant appears before the Court where No Contact Orders can be entered and bail and other restrictions considered. As a Judge, I focus on the fair administration of justice, individual accountability and public safety. Crime victims are given a voice by law and the public is best protected by enforcing the law. These are some of the reasons why I have the most public law enforcement support of any candidate.

A Judge makes life changing decisions for people and the community starting from his first day in office. From day one, I have the proven judicial experience, the right legal expertise, integrity and good common sense judgment to serve as your Superior Court Judge and I ask for your vote.
