Candidate Statement: Judge Annette Plese has served in the Spokane District/Municipal Court for over ten years, first as a Court Commissioner then elected in 2002 to her current position as Judge. She has extensive court experience including DUI, and Domestic Violence as well as Civil and Small Claims. Judge Plese served three years on the Board of Governors for the District/Municipal Court Judges Association and is a faculty member for the State Judicial College. She is a recipient of the distinguished Myra Bradwell Award from Gonzaga University for her exceptional service to the community. As a volunteer for Saturday Kid’s Court, Judge Plese helps child witnesses understand the complex court system. Formerly as a senior attorney for Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office, she spent over seven years prosecuting cases and supervising others in the Domestic Violence and Burglary/Fraud Units. Born and raised in Spokane, she attended both Eastern Washington and Gonzaga Universities. Judge Plese received her law degree from GU School of Law. Married for 15 years, she and her husband are avid Harley Davidson riders and enjoy Gonzaga Basketball. Superior Court requires Judge Annette Plese’s exceptional qualifications and strong work ethic!
