Legal/Judicial Experience: District Court Judge since January 2000, Judge Pro Tem of Lincoln County Superior Court since 2003. Has decided hundreds of cases: Family law, domestic violence, negligence, small claims, DUI’s and other offenses. Completed Washington State Judicial College, 2000. Attorney in private civil practice (1979-present); Prosecuting Attorney, Garfield County (1979-1989); Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Lincoln County (1989-1999). Has tried 60 jury trials (civil and criminal), many bench trials.

Family: Married 37 years, 3 children

Candidate Statement: Joshua F. Grant has been privileged to serve as the District Court Judge for the past eight years. Respected by his peers, he has presided over District Court as a visiting judge in ten other Eastern Washington counties and has a proven record of treating all parties with respect, courtesy and fairness. Believing in the value of education, Judge Grant instituted Student Traffic Court in Lincoln County and holds District Court probation violation hearings in area high schools once a year.
