Candidate Statement: You and everyone who comes before a court in our community are entitled to be treated fairly and with respect no matter who you are. Over my 34 year career I have lived by this principle handling criminal and civil cases, in Municipal, District, Superior and Federal trials. My clients have included the U.S. government, enforcing our civil rights laws, union members in grievance arbitrations, corporations and poor and working people. For over 20 years I have worked to improve our system of justice by teaching hundreds of UW law students and lawyers here and nationally how to conduct themselves in court with the highest professional and ethical standards. I serve now as a Pro Tem Judge. My husband and I raised two daughters in King County. We founded a company to protect our children and yours from the seedy side of the internet. As a volunteer I have advocated for women, families and children through the NWWLC, the YMCA and Treehouse. My experiences have prepared me to judge the wide variety of matters in Superior Court efficiently and with compassion, fairness and firmness. You can count on me as your judge.
