Current Occupation/Employer: Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney

Education: Juris Doctorate and Masters degree in Social Work, University of Wisconsin

Legal/Judicial Experience: Currently Judge Pro Tem. Nineteen years courtroom experience in King County Superior Court. A respected senior prosecutor, Regina consistently earned convictions prosecuting the most serious felonies, murders and sex crimes. As a civil litigator, she defended civil rights and fought successfully for plaintiffs and defendants in labor and employment disputes.

Family: Happily married with two children, both in public school.

Significant Career Experience: Over 100 trials; achieved landmark State Supreme Court rulings on both the use of DNA evidence and sex offender registration. See www.CahanforCourt.com for more.

Candidate Statement: I am proud to have received the highest rating, “Exceptionally Well Qualified,” from the King County Bar, Washington Women Lawyers, Joint Asian Bar, and Q-law.

I volunteer my services for the Northwest Women’s Law Center, Anti-Defamation League, King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, and have counseled sexual assault and domestic violence survivors.

I look forward to continuing my years of public service and applying my criminal and civil law experience by serving on our Superior Court.
