Walla Walla County Superior CourtPosition OneThis candidate will appear on the ballot without opposition.
Current Occupation/Employer: Attorney, Lohrmann Law Offices. Legal/Judicial Experience: General civil and trial practice in Walla Walla since 1977; have served as court commissioner and judge pro tem. Significant Career Experience: Tried cases throughout Eastern Washington, and have appeared in United States District Court, Washington Court of Appeals, and Washington Supreme Court. Member, State Bar Association’s Board of Bar Examiners since 1989; former trustee, Trial Practice Section; Chairman, BMAC Volunteer Lawyers Committee since 1997. Education: Valparaiso University, M.A. 1974, J.D. 1977. Family: Married 34 years to Linda, teacher at Green Park School; four children, three grandchildren. Candidate Statement: My philosophy is that a judge should interpret law, not make law, and that persons found guilty of crimes should be held strictly accountable. Two points in particular highlight my candidacy. First, because of my training, experience and success in handling cases in many different areas of law, I am particularly qualified for the broad range of cases that come before a Superior Court judge. Second, I bring with me a strong record of integrity and community service, having served on the local boards of Walla Walla General Hospital, American Red Cross, Helpline, Camp Kiwanis, Christ Lutheran Church, Little League, and in other organizations as well. I believe that my 30 years as a Walla Walla businessman and attorney in general practice, together with my community involvement, provide a strong foundation for an effective judgeship. I have represented clients from all walks of life: from rich to poor, small businesses to large corporations, farmers, merchants, plaintiffs and defendants. No matter who you are, I promise fairness and impartiality. It would be an honor and privilege to serve you. |
