Laura MurphyFirm but fair decisions - what our community deserves in a judge. That is how Laura Murphy responds to all aspects of the judicial system. Her diverse experience includes serving as pro tem judge, private attorney (criminal defense and civil litigation), prosecuting attorney and law enforcement officer. (Ret.) Court Commissioner Scott Neilson: “I have observed Laura Murphy in dozens of trials. Her proven knowledge of the law, disposition, and wisdom make her an outstanding judge.” As a youth mentor and recipient of the Thurston Council Cultural Diversity Award, Laura recognizes the necessity of holding offenders accountable while serving the needs of the community.
