Education: J.D., University of Puget Sound School of Law, 1979; B.A., University of Washington, 1971; R.N., Shoreline College, 1973.

Legal/Judicial Experience: Chief Judge 1998—2000, 2006—2008; Presiding Chief Judge of Statewide Court of Appeals 2004—2005

Family: My husband, Gene Lorenz, and I have children and grandchildren who have lived and worked around the globe.

Significant Career Experience: Lawyer 12 years; Trial Lawyer of the Year 1991; Named a Distinguished Alumna of my Law School’s First 20 Years

Candidate Statement: I am honored to be an elected judge and represent you on the Court of Appeals. During my 15 years as a judge, achieving the highest principles of justice – fairness and integrity – have been my top priority. Also, I have kept my commitment to make our courts work more efficiently and I will continue to do so. I am involved in my community and I am proud to be a member of City Club of Tacoma, QUOTA International of Tacoma & to serve as a Community Judge for the Puyallup School District Senior Boards and Business Week.
