Voting for Judges: FAQ

Jim Lawler

Lewis County Superior Court

Position Two

Jim Lawler

Candidate Statement: Service to community. That's a principle I grew up with, carried with me through college at Washington State University, and law school here in the Pacific Northwest. I've maintained these values over 24 years of law practice in Lewis County, values that my wife and I have taught our boys, and that remain with me today.

It's been a privilege helping low-income people access justice as Lewis County Bar Legal Aid President and Volunteer Lawyer of the Year. I've had the opportunity to help clients in diverse areas of the law as a partner in one of the oldest law firms in our county.

It is this commitment that my family and I have had to our county these many years that brought me to seek the position of Superior Court Judge. I have been honored to receive the endorsement of every Superior and District Court Judge in Lewis County including Judges Brosey, Hunt, Roewe, R.W. Buzzard, Commissioner Mitchell, and retired Judges Draper and Hall.  They know this position requires experience, fairness, and good judgment.  I'm Jim Lawler, and it would be an honor to serve as your Superior Court Judge.
