Christine Quinn-BrintnallEDUCATION: J.D., University of Puget Sound law school, 1980. Outstanding Woman Law Student, 1979 and 1980.
OCCUPATION: Court of Appeals Judge.
EMPLOYER: State of Washington.
LEGAL/JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE: Elected to Court of Appeals in 2000, Chief Judge since 2004. Has written 500 opinions. Former prosecutor (15 years criminal law, 6 years civil law). Her experience prosecuting major crimes is important because 2/3 of the court's opinions are criminal cases. Chris works to build a better, safer community. She tutors at-risk children in the Tacoma public schools and serves on the boards of Emergency Food Network, Tacoma Youth Symphony, and Werlin Reading Teams. Walks in Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Candidate Statement: Our judges must remain independent of politics, know criminal and civil law, and have extensive trial and appellate experience. Chris has exactly those qualities, having served us 27 years as a judge and prosecutor. Chris listens. She decides each case on its merits. She stays independent of partisan politics.
