Campaign Finance |
|
OverviewAll campaign finance information here is derived from the state's Public Disclosure Commission, which makes available an array of filings from candidates and others who participate in the electioneering process. Campaign Contributions Our Campaign Contributions page lists the state's 15 largest judicial campaign contributors, and it also provides links to individual candidate contribution pages that list all contributors of $1,000.00 or more to that candidate. Independent Expenditures Although contributions to candidates are limited by law, individuals and organizations can make direct independent expenditures in support of or opposition to a candidate. This is becoming more common, and in some races, the independent expenditures outpace the "official" spending done by the candidate. We have included information about these sources of election spending as well, on our Independent Expenditures page and associated detail pages. Candidate summary pages The individual pages for each Supreme Court and Court of Appeals candidate provide a centralized location for background on the candidate, along with ratings, endorsements, and funding. A complete summary of all financial information regarding each candidate's contest is located near the bottom of these pages. Links from the summaries facilitate finding additional details about funding sources. Campaign Contributions - Independent Expenditures |
