Warren Gilbert

EDUCATION: University of Washington - B.A. 1981 Gonzaga University - J.D. 1985
OCCUPATION: Lawyer
EMPLOYER: Gilbert & Gilbert, Inc., P.S.
LEGAL/JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE: I began my legal career as a clerk and intern for the Skagit County Prosecutor's Office where I tried District Court jury trials. I joined the Law Firm of Gilbert & Meyer in 1986 where I have practiced for the past twenty years. In that time, I have tried jury trials in District Court, Superior Court and Federal Court. I have tried cases involving criminal law, personal injury, municiple law, land use, business, real estate, regulatory actions, and dissolutions. I have represented Skagit County PUD No. 1 for 18 years and Dike District No. 17 for 12 years.

Candidate Statement: Our legal system and our society's reliance upon the rule of law depends upon the public's confidence in the quality, impartiality and dedication of the judges who serve that system. In my many years of practicing law in the courtroom, I have come to appreciate the difference a good judge can make. Endorsed by current Superior Court Judges John Meyer, Dave Needy and Mike Rickert. Former Superior Court Judges Harry Follman, Stanley Bruhn, Walter Deierlein and Gil Mullen. Former Prosecuting Attorneys James Anderson, Earl Angevine, Garl Long and Tom Moser.
