Pierce County District Court
Legal/Judicial Experience: Matthew has served as
an Attorney at The Law Offices of Matthew Wareham, Accountant at Moss
Adams, and has provided dispute resolution services to private parties.
Other Professional Experience: Matthew has handled every type of
litigation that takes place in District Court. He has a strong
commitment to keeping the judicial system independent of politics.
Education: AA/S, Tacoma Community College, B.A., Business and
Accounting, Concordia University Chicago, J.D., Thomas Jefferson School
Community Service: Matthew has provided free legal representation
for individuals in criminal, civil, and family law cases, he volunteers
at local schools, and organizes local community events.
Statement: As a fair-minded and thoughtful advocate for justice,
Matthew will seek to improve the Court system by working with
stakeholders to help develop a mental health court, a drug treatment and
diversion program, and other innovative solutions that are working in
other Courts in our State. Matthew is fair-minded and even tempered.
With balanced experience working in the private business field, as well
as private litigation practice, Matthew brings a unique insight to the
bench. Matthew is the right choice for Pierce County District Court.
Matthew and his wife Allison, a Registered Nurse at St Anthony’s
Hospital and professor of nursing at Olympic College, live with their
three children and labradoodle in Gig Harbor.
Matthew is dedicated to implementing change in the Courts to make Pierce
County better by helping those struggling in the cycle of addiction,
homelessness, and poverty.
Matthew is seeking to remove politics from the Court system. You can
