Statement: Every day in court is an opportunity to apply my
experience and the law while treating all parties with fairness and
dignity. I have spent my entire legal career in Skagit County, serving
as a judge with unique balance and perspective thanks to extensive trial
experience as a public defender and a prosecutor.
I understand that each decision I make impacts real people’s lives. I
have researched and ruled upon hundreds of motions and presided over
more than 50 trials involving family law, civil lawsuits, and criminal
law. Between my experience as an attorney and a judge, I hope you find
me best qualified to continue in this position.
My commitment to this community’s values extends beyond the courtroom. I
serve several community organizations and regularly teach local students
civics. My husband and I live in Mount Vernon, where we raise our son in
a bilingual home. I am also fluent in Spanish.
I am broadly endorsed by judges, attorneys, community leaders, and
organizations. Please visit my website for updated endorsements. It is
my honor to continue serving as one of your Superior Court Judges. Every
case reinforces my commitment to the law, fairness, and justice, thanks
