Candidate Statement Helping people understand, negotiate and survive the legal system has been my life's work. I have represented 1000's of clients in criminal cases from misdemeanors to murders. I have appeared in most King County Courts and Federal Court King County arbitrator for years. I believe that The judicial system should be accessible, efficient and hold to the highest standards of our constitution and state laws. Justice cannot be done unless all people are treated respectfully, fairly and competently. A judge's first responsibility is to protect the public by holding defendants accountable. My concern for the challenges facing our community extends to working with the Lawyers' Campaign for Hunger Relief and The Council for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. During these challenging times, citizens have a right to expect their public servants to work harder and more efficiently than ever. We can do better. Our legal system should serve to protect and ensure the rights of every citizen. I am proud of and respected for my fairness, integrity, knowledge, experience, patience and the ability to make sound decisions. As your judge, I will be a patient listener, articulate, fair, diligent, hard working and passionate about upholding the law to make our community a safer place for us and our children.
